You maintain your lift spell with ease (Magic Roll: 18 + 1) and drift closer to the face, calling out to it in a confident voice:“Who are you?”“I am the Guide.” it answers. The voice booms through the chamber and rattles your bones. You can feel it loudly in your own mind, uncertain if it is really talking to you or just projecting itself into your consciousness. The hewan snaps its head towards the face, but remains calm.You decide a conversation may be in order before carrying on.You are engaged in a conversation, when you are ready, indicate you would like to terminate the conversation. You open the spellbook and read the power word for Lift. As you speak it, you feel the word well up in your body and erupt out from your mouth, pushing itself into the world and off the ground. There is a wave of force that pushers out form you, scattering the dust in a ring around and the hewan and lifting the beast from the ground (Magic Roll: 12 + 1). The beast begins to cry out in silent barks, no noise escaping from its enchanted mouth, but the flailing threatens to throw you. You stroke its shaggy neck and calm it (Handle Animal Roll: 17) as it floats up, controlling the spell with concise gestures from your left hand.As you float up in the glowing sphere, you see blinding light around you, rushing and rolling in waves and wisps. Settling into the center of the light, you glance around (Perception Roll: 9 + 2) and see floating in the swirling blue light a face. Two glowing eyes burn into your own, holding you within its gaze.You cautiously consider your options.You are mounted on a hewan.The hewan is levitating.Reblog or Inbox to play!

Deciding that these campers have taken enough of your attention, you guide the hewan away from them and into the entrance. The soft pads of the hewan do no echo through the halls, still silenced by the spell you cast. The eerie quiet of your movement only adds to the creepiness of the experience. Tall pillars stretch up to a ceiling you can only assume is somewhere above in the dark.As you walk through the dark, the pillars seem to narrow into a tighter hallway, until you come to a large opening with a huge glowing ball of… something. It appear to be floating on a small platform extending over a large abyss. You guide the hewan towards the light and glance around (Perception 18 + 2 from Elf). The pillars here are covered in carvings and seem easy enough to climb. You can make out some alcoves across the abyss from the platform that seem like they may contain a doorway of hallway. You also noticed what look like hand and footholds beneath you on the platforms exterior, stretching down into the dark.The hovering ball of light generates no heat, and hangs above about 30 feet.You are mounted on a Hewan.Reblog or Inbox to Play!

Recalling your training, you speak the power word of silence. You mouth and tognue feel the immense pressure of the word welling up in your body, and with your left hand you trace the runes downward through the air.“Din” pushes itself past your lips, but unlike you hear it only in your mind. As the power word escapes, you direct it towards the hewan (Magic Roll: 20!! + 1 for Spell Thief) with amazing accuracy it silences the beast. Quickly you navigate the camp, travelling the dancing shadows of the bonfire towards the beast (Stealth: 18 + 1 for Spell Thief) and attempt to rouse it. It looks at you apprehensively, but you approach carefully and in a nonthreatening manner (Animal Handle Roll: 17). The beast seems to accept you, and nuzzles its shaggy nose into your palm.The beast rises at you command, and you climb up onto it.
